Hats Off

I have fallen into the trap that so many of us fall into: I wear a lot of hats.  None of us live a life with just one aspect, one role to play.  I am a follower of Jesus, a wife, a mommy-to-be, an athlete, a motivational speaker, a foundation president, a coach, and a constant volunteer.  Several times a day I'm taking one hat off to put another on.  I'm always switching gears, playing catch up and trying to do the best job I can for what hat I happen to be wearing.

I'm tired of segmenting my life and trying to keep it all separate.  These are all things that I am and things that I do, but they are all part of me and I am just one person.  So I am starting this blog because I'm ready to take all of my hats off, let my hair down and just be myself...  whoever that is and whatever I happen to be focusing on in that moment. Welcome to my crazy, random and very full life.  Please join me as I'm learning to fly...

Some of the players in my world:

My husband, Eriek, is the most amazing man I know.  He's super supportive, an encourager and the love of my life.  And he's okay being silly with me sometimes!

And this is our newest addition, Arella (pronounced ah-RAY-luh).  She will be joining us in person sometime around May 24th this year.

This is Charlie (on top) and Sam (on bottom), our furry babies!

We are also in the middle of adopting from China, but that is still a few years down the road.  So our family is growing and changing and we couldn't be more excited to watch God knit us together!
